Relatives Gather at Parliament House
Relatives of passengers killed when Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down over Ukraine gathered with officials at Australia's Parliament House on Wednesday to mark the 10th anniversary of the tragedy. Five British citizens were among the 298 people killed when the plane was downed by Russian-backed forces in eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014.
A coroner's inquest into the deaths of the British victims concluded that they were unlawfully killed. The plane was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was shot down over conflict-hit Ukraine on July 17, 2014.
